Dr. Laura Canever

Dr. Canever grew up in the Fenton area before completing both undergraduate and veterinary school at Michigan State University. She graduated veterinary school in 2016 with high honors and went on to complete an internship at Animal Surgical Center of Michigan in Flint. In 2021, Dr. Canever completed a 3-year residency program with Dr. Ben Colmery at Dixboro Veterinary Dental Center in Ann Arbor. In 2022, Dr. Canever passed both board certification exams required by the American Veterinary Dental College and became board-certified in veterinary dentistry and oral surgery.

Dr. Canever's favorite aspect of her career is seeing the difference her team can make in the lives of each pet and its owner. To witness a pet come in for a consultation with obvious oral pain is heartbreaking, but the reward after treatment is completed is undoubtedly worth it.
